360 Domination

The leaves are about ready to go through a big change here. Racing action in Topeka on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon was dominated by 360 Racing--especially in the Masters category!

No Mat Eastlack-that's not a cold sore on my lip! That's evidence of my "lip taking on my stem" in Saturday nights race. With about three laps to go---and just nearly catching back onto the lead group of 5 racers, the front wheel of my bike bounced off the top stair that led us over the top of the racetrack---I of course was carrying the bike and the stem (that's the part that holds the handle bar to the bike) smashed me in the mouth. You know that sound that rings through your head when you know WOW----that hit me really hard?!!---well---that's what I heard--and felt for the next three hours that night. My teeth, jaw and head ached. A few of my buddies watching the race at that location heard it too! Fortunately--just a bruise and no stitches required.

Finished 6th that night and 5th the next day! Scott Dunsimir from Slimen Grossen---you're a stud man! Awesome racing---and smart tactics while the 360 boys beat up on you! Jeff Winkler--you're my hero---however--I won't be attempting to remount my CX bike with just the rails from seat on the post. Seeing your saddle laying upside down on the race track was hilarious.

By the way--did I mention that a large portion of this Sat. night race was ON the dirt race track and the infield of Heartland Park. We hit the dirt track and quickly made our mad dash around the track at 30MPH!! First lap's always the fastest and certainly true in this case!!
