86 degrees meant the jersey gets unzipped after about 40 minutes of effort at the Diamond Blackfan CX race this weekend. Racing for an hour against these guys is super training for my goal of having a great National Championship race this year. Lynn Lamb, Tige's Dad said I was really looking thin! I took that as a compliment as he hasn't seen my in a year--when swimming usually kept the upper body looking a little more filled out. I'm at a pretty good race weight and the extra miles on the bike to and from work are really helpful for the fitness--not to mention the gas budget! Thanks to all you super fast guys for motivating the heck out of me---I hate the idea of getting lapped!!

Stinch!

It smells worse than it looks! Can you believe after 13 laps, I could still shift the front and rear derailleurs!? Yes--there REALLY is a front derailleur on the bike!!!!

HERMANN, MO CYCLOCROSS
Laboube (pronounced lay-boo) Farms guesthouse was our stopping point for a Saturday/Sunday stay! The farm has been in the family for over 100 years; the guesthouse was the original 2 room house that helped to raise 6 children. With two bedrooms upstairs, one downstairs with a bathroom--the house was a great retreat away from busy KC and St. Louis for both us and Mom and Dad!
